Giacarta affonda. Non per effetto di un cataclisma improvviso, ma sotto il peso stratificato di decenni di drenaggio. Cola lentamente nel mare mentre le sue architetture si allungano in verticale, come in un esperimento disperato di levitazione capitalista. Gli ingegneri progettano dighe e allo stesso tempo i fondi internazionali convertono il disastro in occasione finanziaria. Nei sobborghi, a East Jakarta, intanto si suona.
Il paesaggio sonoro dell’Indonesia peninsulare e insulare è una trama densa, in continua ridefinizione dove il rumore si struttura come forma di pensiero: black metal dalle tinte rituali, harsh noise, trance in bilico tra possessione e spettacolo. Il suono è vettore di una memoria diffusa, diseguale, resistente. Gli strumenti non esprimono ma attivano; i corpi non interpretano ma si offrono. La cultura musicale si manifesta come evento antropologico come residuo di una guerra percettiva in atto.Nel cuore di questo sistema vibrazionale c'è spazio sia per il gamelan, macchina musicale dalle architetture modulari e cosmologichche per Il black metal: nelle sue forme più radicali si apre all’animismo residuale, a pratiche che sopravvivono all’Islam ufficiale, ai culti sincretici e al pensiero magico. I concerti come cerimonie a luci basse, con maschere, danze spezzate, corpi in trance.si ingeriscono peperoncini incandescenti e scorpioni vivi, invocando i keramat, spiriti intermedi che abitano l’invisibile.In molte comunità urbane e semi-rurali, l’identità islamica si intreccia con l’etica DIY, producendo una nuova forma di soggettività politica. La moschea e la sala prove non si escludono. Gli stessi individui attraversano con disinvoltura la preghiera e il pogo, l’hijab e il leather jacket. Il suono registra le ferite del territorio, ma anche quelle del tempo: stratificazioni coloniali, shock neoliberisti, disastri ecologici, eversioni religiose. L’etnografia tradizionale non dispone più degli strumenti adatti. Serve una etnomusicologia speculativa, capace di misurarsi con l’instabilità epistemologica del campo. Luigi Monteanni, esplora il geotrauma attraverso field recordings che non restituiscono la realtà, la moltiplicano.Questo mixato non è archivio, né viaggio sonoro. Sta in una zona grigia tra documento e allucinazione. È una mappa instabile che attraversa Giacarta, la Malesia, i bordi della trance. Nelle pieghe del Sudest asiatico, il suono continua a significare altrove. Il rumore, qui, non chiede di essere capito. Basta ascoltarlo mentre scava.

Jakarta is sinking. Not as a result of a sudden cataclysm, but under the layered weight of decades of drainage. It slowly sinks into the sea whilst its architecture stretches upwards, as if in a desperate experiment in capitalist levitation. Engineers design dams and, at the same time, international funds turn the disaster into a financial opportunity. Meanwhile, in the suburbs of East Jakarta, the music plays on.
The soundscape of peninsular and insular Indonesia is a dense, ever-evolving tapestry where noise takes shape as a form of thought: ritual-tinged black metal, harsh noise, trance poised between possession and spectacle. Sound is the vehicle for a diffuse, uneven, resilient memory. Instruments do not express but activate; bodies do not interpret but offer themselves. Musical culture manifests as an anthropological event, a residue of an ongoing war of perception. At the heart of this vibrational system there is room both for the gamelan—a musical machine of modular and cosmological architecture—and for black metal: in its most radical forms, it opens up to residual animism, to practices that survive official Islam, to syncretic cults and to magical thinking. Concerts as ceremonies in dim light, with masks, broken dances, bodies in trance. Robert Bishop compone e registra con strumenti minimi e tecnologia essenziale, sempre ai margini della forma-canzone. La sua scrittura non cerca compiutezza ma frammenti, residui. Tra lo-fi, trap distorta, poesia sonora e scarti linguistici, le sue tracce sembrano sogni registrati troppo tardi.Con una manciata di personaggi particolarissimi, Bishop costruisce un archivio intimo e imperfetto di musiche oltre la popular. Non è roba pensata per piacere, ma per ritornare e restare.
In questo mix ha raccolto influenze, stati alterati, materiali grezzi, qualche inedito e collaborazioni varie. Una panoramica opaca su un mondo immerso nei vapori.La quadrilogia Espedienti, firmata Robert / Lilllli / Carro, esce a breve su Pick Up the Cake, etichetta a conduzione famigliare che scova suoni nei posti più dimenticati.

Robert Bishop composes and records with minimal gear and a stripped-down setup, always skirting the edges of the song form. His writing doesn’t aim for completeness, but lingers in fragments and leftovers. Somewhere between lo-fi, warped trap, sound poetry, and linguistic derailments, his tracks feel like dreams captured a bit too late. Alongside a handful of recurring (and often questionable) characters, Bishop builds a personal, flawed archive of vulnerable music—not made to please, but to stick around. This mix compresses influences, altered states, raw matter, a few unreleased tracks, and collabs with the usual suspects. Ogni anno è la stessa storia, prima o poi l’influenza arriva inesorabile con tosse, febbre alta, raffreddore o dolori gastrointestinali, passata l’influenza ci si sente però sicuramente debilitati. Dunque, dopo essere guariti, è bene rimanere a riposo ed evitare di uscire di casa ancora per 1-2 giorni anche se non si avvertono più sintomi influenzali, evitando così ricadute e il perdurare di sintomi respiratori come tosse e mal di gola. Il riposo è infatti necessario al nostro corpo perché aiuta moltissimo le nostre difese immunitarie. Per questo se si è costretti ad andare al lavoro dopo l’influenza è bene coprirsi molto bene evitando anche sbalzi di temperatura. Inoltre, dopo un’influenza particolarmente forte magari caratterizzata da febbre alta, si è molto fragili e si deve evitare di stare in luoghi particolarmente affollati di virus, germi e batteri come luoghi pubblici, uffici o mezzi di trasporto. Vanno evitate anche le situazioni di stress, l’aumento della produzione di cortisolo porta infatti a una diminuzione dei linfociti presenti nel sangue e quindi a una risposta immunitaria più debole in caso di attacco da parte di agenti esterni. Lo stress inoltre può portare a condizioni di stanchezza, debolezza e spossatezza fino ad arrivare all’astenia cronica.

DJ YTP (IT) is one of the musical incarnations of Xenia from Verona, Italy.
Their music, which could be aptly described as ‘Hardcore Xtravaganza’, reminisces of the late 90s, rave-influenced music they used to listen and party to – such as eurodance, Lento Violento, and happy hardcore, all the way to tribe tekno and other exciting high-bpm styles. This broad range of inspirations collapse into dense compositions of dissected industrial hardcore and breakcore, obtained via a deranged dismantling of multiple audio sources such as anime, movie, and videogame samples in the form of harsh rhythmic outbreaks. What does it mean if someone can delete hundreds and thousands of hours of sound culture overnight? Two Norwegian students, Thomas S. Nilsen and Steffen Ojala Søderholm, formed a duo called Nightcore in 2002. For a high school project, they created a 13-track album by taking existing dance tracks, speeding them up to a throbbing tempo of 160–180 beats per minute, and shifting up the original pitch. What they didn't know at the time was the fact they had just invented nightcore. Nightcore is often abbreviated as nxc. Among the emerging genres haters, however, nightcore is sometimes derided as “chipmunk” music, alluding to the high-pitched singing of the animated music group and characters, Alvin and the Chipmunks. From nighcore on, a pletora of different variations sprout like mushrooms into soundcloud high-fertility ground.

practice:
